Pronouncement

The pronouncement of marriage is the public proclamation that you are married, and the presentation by the officiant of you as husband and wife.

1.  For as much as you have consented together in marriage, declaring your love for one another, you are now husband and wife.

2.  For as much as you have grown in knowledge and love of one another, and because you have agreed in your desire to go forward in life together, seeking an even richer, deepening relationship, and because you have pledged to meet sorrow and joy as one family, we rejoice to recognize you as husband and wife.

3.  For as much as you have thus pledged yourselves to each other in the presence of each other and this company, I do now, by the virtue of the authority vested in me, pronounce that you are husband and wife.

4.  For as much as you have consented together in marriage, declaring your love for each other, giving and receiving rings, it is my pleasure and joy to declare that henceforth you are  husband and wife. At last!

5.  We acknowledge our rootage in a life larger than our own both in nature and human history and we express the heart for the gift of life and love which is ours. What greater thing is there for two people than to feel that you are joined together to strengthen each other in sorrow, to share with each other in all gladness and to love and be loved.  It is my honor to pronounce that henceforth, you are husband and wife.

6.  For as much  as  you have thus pledged yourselves each to the other in the presence of these witnesses,  I do now announce that you are partnered in love.

7.  In as much as you have consented together in this ceremony to live in wedlock and have witnessed your vows in the presence of this company, by the giving and receiving of rings, it gives me great pleasure to now pronounce that you are husband and wife!

8.  In as much as you have thus pledged yourselves each to the other in the presence of this company, by giving and receiving rings, I pronounce that you are  husband and wife.

9.  With the sense of incomparable joy that you have found your life's true love, I now pronounce you husband and wife.

10.  Because you have come together with your hearts and minds and souls, and pledged one another a shared future, I now pronounce you husband and wife.

11.  Now, because you have chosen one another, honored each other with the precious gift of your rings, and pledged to love each other for all the days of your lives, it gives me great joy to pronounce you husband and wife.

12.  Now having freely chosen to leave behind the private vigil of seeking self-knowledge in solitude, and having taken up the task of clearly seeing and supporting another human being, having promised your love by honoring one another with the gift of your rings, I now pronounce you husband and wife.

13.  Bride and Groom, now that you have heard the words about love and marriage, now that you have shown us the example of your love and celebrated your union by giving each other these beautiful rings, it is with great joy and happiness that I pronounce you husband and wife.

14.  Because you have pledged your love and commitment to each other before these witnesses, I declare that you are husband and wife.  May the spirit that lives in and around all of us fill your hearts and bless your lives.

15.  Groom and Bride, you have heard about the magic and the mysteries of marriage; the way it will continuously surprise you; the strength and wisdom it will ask of you; and you have chosen happily and in our midst to make the promises of marriage.  You have shown us the example of your love and celebrated your union by giving each other these beautiful rings, and so, it is with great joy that I now pronounce you husband and wife.

16.  Bride and Groom, your vows have been witnessed by those who love you and you have exchanged symbols of your everlasting commitment.   I, therefore, have the great joy and honor to declare that you are now, and forever, husband and wife.

17.  Now that you have shared with each other these words of love and commitment, and we have witnessed the expression of your love as you have given each other these rings, and you have joined your hands and hearts before your family and friends, it is with great joy that I pronounce you husband and wife.

18.  And so, it is with great honor and joy that, by the power of the beautiful love that you share, I now pronounce you husband and wife.
